None of that changes the fact that he has ALREADY been marginalized by the media. It would be idiotic to start with that.

Oh, you're talking about would he have the ability to pull his home state? Ha, there is no state that can do that for the LP yet. So what does it matter?

AK isn't too far away from NH, the most libertarian state

AK? The state with some of the most corrupt politicians in the country? Obviously the libertarians there aren't paying attention. Maybe the cold has frozen their brains.

Politically, Alaska is heavily Republican, with a libertarian streak.
2006 CAMPAIGN TIP SHEETS: Alaska State Profile

I know you want specifics, so, you need to check out Gov. Sarah Palin and her political history of beating a corrupt incumbent and lashing out at other corruption in AK...with overwhelming popular support

Which is exactly why Ted Stevens might be out of a job, and is behind in the polls...

A Republican state with a libertarian streak...losing its Republican hold...

You'd only need about 100,000 libertarians in the entire country to move to Alaska and it'd be a libertarian state

LP gets like 400,000 even when their candidate isn't popular...just get 1/4th of those people to move...

^ No one in there right mind wants to move to Alaska! Though my friend Reza did about a year and a half ago. He likes it there, I still think he's an nut-job for wanting to live there. I plan on making a visit to Juno to go see him, he has beautiful pictures all the time of the mountains and camping he does on his MySpace. I can see how visiting would be fun, but living is just plain suicide unless Civil War broke out.

Although I'm glad to see that massive Republican corruption is all it takes for a state to gain libertarian leanings, if the free state project can't get enough people to move the beautiful New Hampshire (including me, too cold ), AK has no hope.

Moving to a state and taking it over is a BS way to go about change anyway. I like to believe that libertarians across the nation are slowly waking people up. If that's really the case or not, I dunno, but in that I do my part.
