I think that's a bit ignorant. Every liberal isn't warm and fuzzy as a bunny the same as every conservative isn't warm and fuzzy. A personal definition of liberal doesn't change that.

I can think of plenty of questionable people who call themselves liberal!

But they are not true liberals. They are left wing defensive ideologues who pretend to be intellectual. Thet are Nazi's with a different Uniform. Tolerance is nothing but a selective wedge to drive against opponents. They have no problem exchanging free speech with prepared speech if it fits a PC ideology. They are as dangerous and un-American as you can imagine. So be careful who who side with!

PC is not some liberal thing, that's a myth...it probably has its roots in some area you wouldn't describe as "conservative" but it and never will be a "liberal" issue

Most intellectual liberals never accepted the idea of native americans as being the solution to "indians" how could they...the word is so inaccurate

If you are going to talk about an Apache, you say "the Apaches" you don't say "native americans" it's like saying "Europeans started the inquisition" no they didn't...it was the italians and spanish, and to an extent the french...why do Europeans get so much identification, yet we can't do the same with Cherokees?

If you want to talk about all the different tribes the Puritans encountered in a historical context...obviously the Puritans were the immigrating force, brand new and they were aliens to the world...the people there were the "native population" not "native americans"

With African Americans, it was always people worried about pissing off black people...not about people trying to be more enlightened...to this day basically every person ive known with an advanced degrees calls blacks...blacks

Calling people "gay" instead of "homosexuals" never really caught on in academic environments...and I don't even need to bring up "womyn" because you'll probably go "wha?" that was the woman's PC movement, which was so thoroughly rejected by liberals and moderates that it never reached the light of day

All of the history I have seen, has shown the politically correct code to be drawn up by political apathetic people who were trying to be overly sensitive...and others in their fear of being unsensitive caught on...it was not a matter of liberal vs conservative

The liberal vs conservative has come down to slur words...you don't say "fag" "chink" "injun" "cripple" "girl/boy" "negro" "spic" to describe adults of various ethnic/sexual backgrounds

Conservatives lost that fight decades ago, except for many men who still call their female superiors "that girl/bitch" (even when the woman has done nothing immature or mean spirited) and guys still call other guys a faggot regularly

Anyway, about Obama, that'd have to be another post

I could care less if she if fired or not. But any real talent could get a better job than Air America. It is like some kind of undignified PBS/NPR operation. Who the hell noticed they were still broadcasting until this went up on the Youtube?

Air America made a big mistake, wasn't Randi Rhodes one of the people that actually received ratings for the network? She'll just end up with another radio show from a different company. I bet news stations have already contacted her about becoming an analyst for the Election. If I was a listener I would be pissed off that free speech is being censored on the radio network, then I would add that Hillary is a big fat whore in my letter.

I don't see how that translates to liberal, if anything it's conservatives that usually want decency standards, etc..

When have you ever seen a republican pushing for the term "handi-capable"?

I think you're confusing the republicans attempts at legislating sex and morality with the liberals attempt to legislate feelings.

Similiar here

I must have thousands of "bleeding heart" priests who were obsessed with world hunger issues and being respectful of everyone, blah blah

But the last thing they were...was liberal...nothing but pictures of Reagan in their offices and taking up basically every republican issue there was

basically they were like George Bush II his first term...really conservative but lets give money to africa, and remember Bush even attacked those who whine about gays saying all that "cast the first stone"

Well that's because it's a conflict of interests. They have an organization TELLING them what to believe on these issues.
