| Really? $5.00+? I haven't seen that anywhere I've been in CA. It's hitting $4.00 right now, which sucks but that's what happens when the stock market keeps investing in Oil. It'll go down (most likely back to $2.50 to $3.00) if a Democrat takes office.

| You missed the point of the comment. I'm sure they found a gas station in wichita .... and a station in california ....I was talking about someone finding two extremes to sensationalize the numbers and make mccain look bad.

| ^A really good anti-McCain ad, he's an extremely bad choice for the country, but if (and I said IF!!!) I vote for Obama and he's elected, then we're off to Pakistan like he said to bomb them for "holding terrorists" which even if they may it means more war, I'm going to be superbly pissed off. War is not the answer, putting our soldiers on our borders from Canada, Mexico to the Pacific & Atlantic oceans to defend the country is our answers. Case closed. Other countries do not like our countries policies (though they use the words, "We Hate Americans!" they really are referring to our Governments politics.) and we need to get out of other countries affairs (Take Sweden's approach. Look it up on Wikipedia, they don't have conflicts of interest.) unless Congress who are 100% convinced that War is the only option. They've been abusing this privilege of controlling our military for over 100 years, it's time to be the Generation (Young to Old), when America finally rid themselves of bad politicians and bad policies. Vote Me in 2020! (I'll be 35 by then! WOO! :P) | ||||

| The United States shouldn't be bombing other countries, period. Here is Mr. Obama on Pakistan... Talking about fight on the wrong battlefields on the right ones... NO MORE WAR! That would be the best platform ever.

| he's talking about actions we've already done...it's not a war, it won't be a war if OBL is in an area of pakistan that the pakistanis themselves can not get to...and we know that a surgical strike will not cause retaliation by the Pakistanis, why WOULDN'T we bomb that area of Pakistan? whoever made that video is a jackass (assuming no one on this site made it) and knows nothing about foreign policy If we leave Iraq, it will be a battle against Saddam-style Sunni Nationalists and Shia Nationalists (probably fighting their own intra-sectarian civil war) and the Kurds fighting the Turks...it will be a clusterfuck but there will be NO CHANCE of any terrorist organization intent on attacking US proper...of taking control In Afghanistan, it is simple, you are either with the government out of Kabul, or you are with the Taliban/Al-Qaeda alliance...there is no other...the Taliban have made it clear they are allied with Al-Qaeda proper, the ones who attacked us on 9/11...not those Iraqis in Iraq who just want a name they think is cool | ||||

| Well you and me will disagree to the high-heavens. But we need to stay out of everyone's problems for the next 5 years, focus on all the problems inside America our country. If we have all our troops at home protecting the borders, and if the CIA, FBI or President Administration isn't inept we won't have terrorist attacks. I'm sick of the United States Empire running around the middle east trying to discipline innocent people and only inciting terrorists and Anti-Americans against us. The more we interact in World Affairs, the more pissed off other countries will be at us and wanting to hurt our Government. | ||||

He was saying he doesn't know how long we'll have troops in Iraq like we still have troops in Korea, Germany, etc. He didn't imply that he would continue this war for 100 years as the ad implied. The Democratic candidates have been taking this out of context for some time now and the media has allowed them to get away with it.

| There's nothing really inaccurate about that advertisement by the DNC... Does it chop up his sentence a bit? Sure, but it also accurately describes his position on our presence in Iraq.. He has no plan to remove troops until the job is "done" and we "win" militarily, which is impossible by all accounts, only a political solution can solve things, and he is against timetables, etc.. Until he issues a statement saying how long is too long, we can assume from his lack of withdrawal plan, that 100 years is fine if there's still a need for us to be there. | ||||

| It doesn't matter though, as he's refused to say how long is too long, is against timetables, and is all for keeping American troops there as long as it takes to "win" There's no difference in his ACTUAL position and the snippet of his comment, except maybe he'd actually be willing to keep them there longer than 100 years if that's what it takes to "win" | ||||

I don't know how anyone can defend or justify the War right now. People are needlessly dying. This is for the middle east to figure out. Spend that $572 Billion of defense on protecting our borders and we won't be attacked again, plus immigration would be solved to boot! | ||||
