I'm not saying that either, what I was saying is if American Troops aren't being injured... We can agree he said that right? Well they're being mutilated, killed, injured, crippled, and lives being ruined! Time to get out according to McCain's statement. Over 4,000 U....

Well they're being mutilated, killed, injured, crippled, and lives being ruined! Time to get out according to McCain's statement. Over 4,000 U.S. lives lost... Is everyone cool with that? I'm certainly not, they should be at home protecting our borders, not trying to be Team America: World Police (FUCK YEAH!).

| Ok you just said, that McCain SPECIFICALLY SAID... As long as Americans aren't being... INJURED, WOUNDED, HARMED OR KILLED! (Which is what is happening in Iraq, RIGHT NOW, this instance, IT'S REALLY HAPPENING.) Don't you think McCain should have a different stance on the Iraq War then? Needlessly sending our citizens to a War they cannot win... You support this JaJae? I'm just trying to get how I'm distorting what you're telling me about what McCain said. | ||||

The question was how long will troops be in Iraq. More specifically the question was targeted about a Bush quote saying we could be in Iraq for 50 years. McCain said "maybe 100 years" and went on to say who knows. We're still in South Korea and Japan. However, that question was referring to the long term. Not the short term. His short term strategy is to work towards a victory so we can hopefully achieve that end result of being a presence in Iraq much like Japan and South Korea and have peace. He's hashed that out over and over again. He hasn't changed his position since he's started running for president. Whether we agree with McCain or not doesn't mean we can't put his position into the correct context and debate it honestly. Arguing a distorted point serves to do nothing except promote the dirty politics that's been going on.

| Fair enough, and I agree with the statement you made above. I understand he wants victory in Iraq, and I understand what he means by the occupation. I just find it absurd when he says, "As long as Americans are not being injured, wounded, harmed, or killed..." He can't look at the current situation we're in now and what he said is happening with a higher U.S. death-toll than 9/11 itself... This is the Peace drive he's going towards? Its sad, because I do feel he thinks what he's doing is right with his political positions. Back on Topic: McCain should have just shook his finger at the black people and said, "Why don't we just make it a Civil Rights Day?" | ||||
