ABC News: U.S. Military Wanted to Provoke War With Cuba In the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba. Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included ...

| That made me chuckle. Never heard of Loose Change (only 9/11 "truth" movie I saw was Michael Moore's and that was 1 time). But I just read the article above and it came out in May of 2001. It's just strange, it didn't happen because office would not even do such a thing if you read into it and were embarrassed that the idea was even brought up. I think it's impossible to get innocent Americans to agree to attack there own people. But reading that and reading that Military officials would want to do something that CRAZY, it does scare me. | ||||

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were true. Keep in mind though, our government pays billions of dollars for people to think up plans for everything - taken out of context like this it could look pretty bad. But it's always nice to have a plan around for something if the shit hits the fan, although admittedly I don't see what good could come of this. | ||||

| Well they wanted to do this back when Castro was just made the new ruler of Cuba. U.S. Military wanted him out of power and that was an idea. The idea to attack U.S. citizens on the soil. Operation Northwoods - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

| It's a shame we can't go back to those friendlier times when the Kennedys were in power. | ||||

| can you show me where northwoods plans include murdering US civilians? i've seen plenty of people make the assumption that "blowing up a ship" equals "killing US civilians" but I've never seen anything that backs it up. b. We could blow up a drone (unmanned) vessel ......... The US could follow up with an air/sea rescue operation covered by US fighters to "evacuate" remaining members of the non-existent crew. Casualty lists in US newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation. Operation Northwoods: Justification for US Military Intervention in Cuba I've seen where the plan was to blow stuff up but never to kill civilians. Maybe the plans did include that, I don't know. I'm saying I've never seen it. | ||||

| I can't, it's not my story and I haven't done any reading on it, but if the plans included things like that I think it's news | ||||
