They should make HBO miniseries on these deserving Americans:
George Washington
John Marshall
John Quincy Adams
Daniel Webster
Sam Houston
Abraham Lincoln
William Jennings Bryan

possibly an hour special on Fisher Ames
Oh, I noticed that Martin Luther King Jr. did not make your list.

Still, he was a great american...I am a little upset though that James Madison has not made an apparence in the series yet

I hope they show the duel, and make an assumption of what happened...but you know what's going to happen

either he never gets mentioned again, or they just say "AB shot him in a duel, he's dead" and move on...now let's watch him lay in bed some more

Remember this series is from the perspective of Adams, he was not present at the dual so more than likely they will not show it

Hamilton>Jefferson

I say Hamilton was a bit of an asshole yes but he was a lot smarter than Jefferson. Jefferson was a sniveling pro-French radical and if he ever got his way we would be like Germany was for the last 800 years you know a fragmented confederation. Hamilton isnt the best politician that ever exisited but he was one of the better ones. He may have thought he was better than everyone else well he did want what was best for this country and some consolidation of power was necessary early on to preserve the union. Hamilton was even a strong advocate of abolition while Jefferson said he hated slavery and then went ahead and paid workers in slaves which renovating Monticello to look more French.

Oh and speaking of deserving Americans for documentaries how come Theodore Roosevelt isnt on the list he was the first progressive president. William Jennings Bryan never actually accomplished anything but win a court case and then die a week or so later.

Because Theodore Roosevelt is one of the worst Presidents we've had. He believed the Executive Branch could do anything it pleased. He was the first Imperial President.

oh and Jefferson > Hamilton.

No what T.R. believed was that the executive branch needed to get involved doy. Every president from Grant-Mckinley just sat back and let congress pass crappy laws that killed the consumers and workers. Also he realized before even Wilson did that you cant bust all the trusts. There were bad trusts and good trusts. A bad trust takes advantage of its position and also treats it workers like crap and a good trust uses its position as a way to hire more workers they charge the consumers fair prices and make good product or at least decent product and the working conditions dont suck!
