NAPITALIANO: Hey Sen. Lieberman, you know Barack Obama, is he a Marxist as Bill Kristol says might be the case in today’s New York Times? Is he an elitist like your colleague Hillary Clinton says he is?

LIEBERMAN: Well, you know, I must say that’s a good question....And I wouldn’t...I’d hesitate to say he’s a Marxist, but he’s got some positions that are far to the left of me and I think mainstream America.

This is coming from the most "government must control firearms" and "the goverment must censor the free market" Senator in the country and ofcourse support for many government regulations in the market such as affirmative action

I don't need to repeat that a recent Research 2000 poll showed if CT voters could vote again, they'd elect Lamont and throw this POS out of office

This should shut up all the Lieberman defenders on here who claimed he was helping his party but only went against them on the war so he was flung out of the party

I don't know what anyone else would call questioning whether Obama is a MARXIST or not, and you damn well know the questioner was good friends of Ron Paul...this isn't even a GOP talking point, it's a libertarian/anti-Democratic one

Is Obama a Marxist? No... But he runs a very Liberal platform. But, he's for the one thing that I think is not only hurting the economy but causing a possible coming Great Depression if it continues and that's the Iraq War. Whoever calls for immediate withdrawal will get my vote in the Election. To me it's still the #1 issue because I believe it to be linked to our economic woes right now.

Marxism != Leninist Communisim

There are a lot of parts of Marxism that are appealing to the Dems which have nothing to do with the Proletariat. Things like less government censorship of media, being neutral on religion, systematic/procedural justice systems, and an abolishment of the oligarchical/Old Boys' Club running the country. Just sayin'

That said, if Obama is a Marxist, he certainly hides it well.
