I am a liberal and i'm not a big fan of guns, but I own a 38 special that has an effective range of about 3 feet.
A friend of mine once gave me a weird looking 22 pistol. It really looked like something out of a James Bond movie. It held a 10 round clip but it was not in the handle as you would expect. The damn thing misfired about every third round, and rather than attempt to fix it, I gave it away.
