| Hillary, Barack you dont care or neither? I dont know if there is another thread like this and if there is I apologize. I know I myself was once a passionate Obama supporter. I watched the news every night to see how his campaign was going. Unfortunately his preacher was revealed as anti-semetic and anti-American and Barack said this guy was his mentor, married him was like an uncle to him and I happen to be Jewish I dont see how I can trust him anymore. On top of that the preacher is friends with louis farrakan that is just really upsetting. I already didnt trust hillary and there is no way I am supporting Mccain. It all doesnt really matter because I turn 18 a month after the election lol but still I was passionate about it and barrack destroyed that passion. | ||||

| test... Hi, I'm new to the forum so I am just testing to see if I can post replies. With regards to your disillusionment with Obama, maybe you shouldn't look to politicians for a hero. After all, living in a democracy means that you should have the power to determine your own destiny and that your elected representatives are public "servants". | ||||

| Link to anti-semitic statements made by the preacher? I saw the "God Damn America" thing, but I don't think that makes him automatically anti-American | ||||

| I don't really know all that much about him.. but I know the term anti-semitic is thrown around with great ease by people who are very pro-Israel (jewish or not).. my opinion on some of Israel's policy decisions has been branded as such by people on the forum.. simply for daring to criticize them. | ||||

| A politician's stance on Israel is probably about #100 on my list of issues to vote on for president. Israel is their own country, we have helped them out for quite some time and they are fully capable despite whatever president we put into office. I care more about a president's view on things that more directly effect America. That said, at the start of campaign I was proud of Obama and supported him very much. As time goes on and his flaws start coming out I'm not as happy with him. Up until recently my vote for him would have been done in pride, but recently it's turning into choosing the lesser of the evils. I still think overall he's a good candidate. Any time you put any politician under the microscope Hillary, Obama, McCain it's bound to happen. Overall though I'm satisfied with Obama as a candidate, and I'd be willing to vote for him over the competition. I wouldn't do it with a sense of pride anymore though. | ||||

The fact he started off so hot might be his biggest problem because the only direction he has to go is down.

With the Clintons, it was always about them and shady stuff they did. That certainly can't be said for Obama.. the worst you can say about him is that he had people around him with viewpoints most Americans don't agree with really

I really think Hillary's crying of unfairness in the media as well as the media's desire to keep the primary going has made a lot of these non-issues become scandals that they normally wouldn't even discuss. It's as if they can't keep pelting Hillary without doing something to Obama even if it's as lame as Obama being on a board with somebody.
Can you imagine if the media spent a week on every shady and unethical person Hillary Clinton or John McCain is associated in some way with or is friendly to? I don't think I'd live long enough to see it finish.

| I still say if I could vote I just wouldnt because still Barrack has destroyed himself. I dont care if he is perfect. What I am calling the first wave of problems that came for him didnt turn me off to him it was the second wave when he was revealed a liar. He could not have possibly not heard those things his preacher said. At this point Mccain seems to be the least evil and if I could vote I would have to say that I wouldnt vote for Mccain anyway meaning that I just wouldnt want to vote because it looks to me like the next 4 years will be bad anyway. I think other countries might even start hating us more. | ||||
