Rush comments on black president

Hi, to the community. I think that it was good of Rush Limbaugh to express his views on a Black President and to prove that he is not a racist has promoted Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as strong candidates for presidential status. I think that it was fair on the part of Rush to say about is comments on a black president. I think that we should thank him….shouldn’t we?

He gets paid to spout a bunch of hot air. He doesn't need thank you notes as well.

But... do you have a youtube link or a summary of what you are talking about?

Why should we thank someone for speaking their mind which they are paid to do?

yeah, thanking somoene for not being a racist...

notice he picks the two of the biggest people involved in the Iraq debacle

Still, both of them support AA, and condi is even pro-choice IIRC...and anyone who knows anything about her knows she's gay which actually if you're going to thank Rush for something, that he'd support a lesbian black pro-choice pro-affirmative action, big government president when McCain dies of old age if he hasn't already by the time this thread is posted

I don't think anyone deserves thanks for not being a racist

I never thought he was a racist to begin with despite the media portrayal of him at times. I don't see why he deserves Kudos or thanks or anything. He didn't do anything that I think should be grateful for which would deserve our thanks.

First of all, welcome to the board....

To address your topic/thread I do not think he deserves thanks for not being a racist or for promoting black candidates for president.

I powell and rice are both more than qualified to run the nation. I dont see why this is such a big deal?

Isn't it interesting that a sucessful single minority Republican woman like Condi Rice is labeld as lesbian with no proof what so ever offered. I wonder if the same commets about a Democrat woman would go unchallenged?

I also labeled her as pro-affirmative action without any proof, do I really have to go back and find the articles?

Is a black woman supporting affirmative action or being gay wrong?

ESPN certainly thought he was a racist after his comments on Donovan McNabb a few years ago. But that was because Tom Jackson threatened to quit, could you imagine watching the Blitz with out Chris Berman and Tom Jackson? They're like Sonny and Cher man.

His comments on McNabb were racist in nature but that doesn't necessarily make him a racist.

That being said, the only "thanks" he will get from me will be when we exchange pain killers, or when he quits yapping on the radio.
