My once a year rituals

Once a year I do my taxes.
Once a year I put up the Christmas tree.
And once a year I call the police on my neighbor.
Actually, it's my neighbor's son I call the police on.
My neighbor is the pastor at several churches, and is never home, so his teenage son does what he pleases. That includes cranking up his huge subwoofer and blasting rap music out his open bedroom window.
It's so loud that it rattles our windows, and my wife can't hear our own tv...and forget trying to sleep.
So, I call the police and they come out and have a talk with the boy, and there is peace for about another year until the whole process starts all over again. The young man is a high school drop out who doesn't have a job, so I figure this will continue until he is 25 and his father finally throws him out of the house.

You should play some Tom Petty or something you enjoy in retaliation. Actually put a stereo by his window (if it isn't a two-story house and he lives an upstairs bedroom or hell climb a ladder and do it) crank it full blast with a note that says, "Go back to school you little shit!" or something like that... Or when he's 18, just beat him up. Hehe. But that's L.A. mentality for ya.
