That doesn't rise anywhere near the level of rudy running on his 9/11 platform.
It's all the time though. Rudy only did it for a few months. McCain was doing the same thing the last time he ran. He's tones it down a bit, but it's just as frequent.

it wasn't provided, you work for it. The better answer would have been to talk about how military pay scales, your paycheck does not include money for rent, food, healthcare etc because you work for all of those.

My gf is a teacher. She has excellent healthcare provided by her employer. Sure she works for it, but that's just semantics. My employer offers me two health care policies to choose from. They provide me the plan at a rate I couldn't get on my own and pay for half.

I would venture that most people would be happy with a teacher's salary and the type of benefits they get and that most wouldn't be happy with what the military offers.
