Fox News Clinton Interview

I wasn't sure where to put this but here goes. I watched most of Oreiley's interview with Hillary Clinton last night and I found myself wondering if I was watching the right channel (no pun intended). To me it lloked like Oreiley was going incredibly easy on Senator Clinton, or maybe she just handled it that well but I don't think so. Did anyone else catch the interview and did anyone else think he went soft on her? My gut tells me he wanted her to look good but not sure why unless it's to drag out the primary and cause more disention among the democratic party. For how many months has Oreiley ranted about Clinton and everything she's done? Now he gives her the soft touch when she sits down for an interview? Something smeels fishy here! Where am I wrong on this?
The rest of the interview is tonight I think, maybe he'll ask tougher questions?

Trying to prove he's unbiased and fair to Democats. He gave her softballs and fluff pieces. Perhaps he'll try to get Obama next.

I thought it was a pretty good interview really. She held her own and I thought she made some really good points.. I thought she looked, gasp, Presidential.

I don't know that it was a softball interview, he just didn't have his normal foaming at the mouth yelling and interrupting, which is counterproductive if you want a real interview.. it might be entertaining, but the only thing you learn is what a jackass he can be to his guests.

didn't watch it, was at the sox game last night, but this morning on fox news, the normally heavily right leaning VB (who does a timed editorial bit) thought HRC held her own and even shot one back at O'R when he asked her about how she thought the interview would be and she said well, fair and balanced of course, and then laughed.

I agree with this as well. But I just think if he had Obama in the chair in front of him things would have been differently. He allowed her to get away with saying things he wouldn't have allowed Obama to get away with. He allowed her to walk away from most all of his questions on the high note. That's not his style and that's not how he would have treated Obama. He has problems with McCain as well I'd assume as most Republican pundits do. He treated her no differently than he would have treated McCain.

He started off soft, allowing her to spend half the fist segment dumping on Obama and Wright to make her more comfortable. And then challenged her answers, but allowed her to have the upper hand before he moved on. That's not the way Bill O typically treats typical liberals. That's how he treats his allies.
