Rumor has it that Michelle Obama is vehemently opposed to the idea of her being VP, and being VP isn't Hillary's goal. She's 61 right now, if Obama wins that would put her at 69 by the time she'd be able to run again and she doesn't want that.

I would be opposed to it as well. I dont see myself voting for that ticket. Now, if Obama picked up an experienced democrat like Joe Biden, Richardson, or someone along those lines as a VP...I will most certainly be voting for them.

This race, more than any i have been able to vote in, is depending on who they pick for vice president.

I don't think her thoughts on it should count for much, she's not running for office.

Please, no.

Mr. Foot in mouth, and Mr. Can't Form a Coherent Thought During Debates can't be on the ticket.

They'd be better off as appointees in the administration than the VP ticket.. Richardson is very accomplished, but he'd get demolished in the VP debates, and what's up with the Al Gore beard?

As far as Biden, Obama is going to have enough to deal with this fall with Wright commercials, he doesn't need one's showing Biden talking about how you can't walk into a 7/11 without seeing an Indian-American or whatever he said awhile back.

No, but I don't see why she has to like the person he picks as Vice President.

George Bush was enough evidence you don't have to do worth shit in debates.

Mr. foot in mouth is probably one of the most qualified there is, and I challenge you to find a politician that hasn't put their foot in their mouth. When he doesn't put his foot in his mouth he has great ideas.

He has chronic foot in mouth disease. I really like Biden, but I'd be very worried about him saying something stupid (like the Indian and convenience store thing) that the Republicans would be able to focus on 24/7..

And, I don't know. People expect more from those they don't want to have a beer with. No one wants to have a beer with Richardson, and he was absolutely horrible in the debates

I'd rather him be in the State department

Maybe Obama will offer it to Wes Clark to appease the Clinton camp.

Let's just say she has a lot more sway over what he does than what you think he should do. Chances are he thinks the same way, she's just more of a bitch about it

Obama presents himself as a new kind of politician who isn't corrupted by Washington yet. He can't choose Hillary Clinton as his running mate if he wishes to continue running on this platform. So I highly doubt he would accept Hillary Clinton as his running mate. I see him picking someone like Richardson or even Bloomberg.

I would hope he would, but since Wes is so close to the Clintons I am not sure he would do it

I dunno, could he really turn down a chance to serve the country like that just because of his political attachment to them?

I doubt it. I think Obama elects Richardson and if he wins the election, then I think Wesley Clark with get Secretary of Defense or Department of Homeland Security (hopefully he axes this stupid program and merges it back with the Defense Department).

I think Edwards is jockeying for the veep. Obama would most likely throw Richardson as secretary of state.

I was thinking the same thing all last night. Edwards was completely on the attack against Hillary and Obama. He ran a very, very dirty campaign. I can understand Obama would want to court his endorsement to help himself politically, but I would imagine there would be some bad blood there that would make giving Edwards the VP slot a bit odd. Not only that, the GOP would play all the Edwards attacks on Obama over and over again to show why Democrats shouldn't vote for Obama.

It would be too easy for McCain to basically say "Look what his own running mate thinks of him..."
