| That car doesn't get mileage much different than the other cars you're looking at. Why would the 3 mpg difference on the highway matter that much if you like it when you're spending $40k on a car? (less than that since you've said you're getting used)

AND it requires premium. 20 gallon tank means it will cost you more than 80 bucks to fill that tank, and at 18mpg you will be filling it often.A Lexus ES averaged 23 mpg, and CR averaged 29 on a 150 mile trip. It's rated at 34mpg highway but I doubt you would ever see that. AND... .the Lexus is FASTER to 60mph.

| Even if it did get 17city. THat's worse than my Mustang was. I used to average about 19-20 in the mustang and that was with a big 4.6L v-8. This is just my opinion, but given the choice between the ES and the M35 why would you pick the M? because it will be less reliable and use more fuel? It's also 10-15k MORE than the Lexus. They can both be had with AWD I believe, they are both equally "prestegious". The M might be a little bigger. | ||||

| 5 mpg is a lot. For me it would be an extra 16 dollars per week in fuel costs. That's almost 1000 dollars a year. | ||||

| when I'm checking mpg the last thing I read is the paper in the window. websites with REAL mileage are more helpful than what the manufacturer claims. | ||||

My car is rated at 31/37 by the EPA. ( 2007 ratings) CR got an average of 32mpg. ON a 150 mile trip they got 38. I typically get 34-35 which is mostly highway but with some around town city driving. so thier numbers seem to be right on.
