How are you on Fiscal & Non-Fiscal issues?

I found a really good website that asks extremely important U.S. issues on the survey. It places what you rank on Non-Fiscal Issues (Social Issues) & Fiscal Issues.

The Political Gauge is a political test that measures where you stand on the political spectrum. Unlike many tests that simply measure whether you are liberal or conservative, the Gauge places you on a two-dimensional grid consisting of fiscal and non-fiscal issues by taking a look at your views and the depth of your beliefs.

The Gauge is broken down into two primary components: Fiscal and Non-Fiscal Issues. Fiscal issues are those that directly involve budget decisions - how the government generates revenues and distributes expenses. Non-Fiscal issues is a broad term to cover social issues such as Abortion Policy and pure policy issues such as Gun Control or Education Policy.

Your results:
On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (33).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (73).

Your score is on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 being fully liberal and 100 being fully conservative.
I found it really interesting.

Website:
The Political Brew: Political Test

Check it out and post your score. It nailed me I feel being an Independent.

Pegged me pretty well.

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Liberal (11).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Centrist (49).

I'm guessing that if I would have taken the time to really pin down the level at which I care about certain issues, I would have got slightly more conservative on Fiscal Issues (55-60) and slightly more liberal on non-fiscal issues (7-8).

This is a bit more accurate:

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Liberal (10).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (61).

According to this test I'm more of a libertarian than all of you

That seems about right based on your posts and our AIM convo's. You're definately more conservative on fiscal issues than you are other issues and fiscally we seem to be fairly close to being on the same page.

holy shit

I think my answer on abortion really skewed the social issues - I don't think that considering it murder is a social conservative thing per se, I'm not doing it because Jesus told me so, I'm saying it because I want the kid to have the same protections as we all do. It's merely a different definition of when life begins, not some horrible restriction I want placed on women. I don't care what you do with your own body, I just don't see the baby as being part of it in that way.

Anyway I digress, sorry, I don't mean to turn this into another useless abortion debate, just explaining why I don't think that's socially conservative

I agree, it skewed my ratings too.

meh, I didn't like some of the wording.

For example, on the Free Trade question, I wanted to select like 3 of the choices.

And on the tax question, I didn't like any of the answers.

On the Health Care, I think the market should decide all of of the issues with it, however, I also want tort reform. So, I wanted to select two answers.

And I'm sure the abortion question skewed me quite a bit.

Test was ok, I guess
