Limbaugh's Fat Mouth Opens Yet Again...

The Fat Flip Flopper says now, Obama should be the nominee:

Limbaugh comes out for Obama

(CNN) – He has publicly urged Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton to keep the divisive Democratic nomination fight alive, but talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday it's Barack Obama who he really wants to be the party's nominee.

"I now believe he would be the weakest of the Democrat nominees," Limbaugh, among the most powerful voices in conservative radio, said on his program. "I now urge the Democrat supereldegates to make your mind up and publicly go for Obama."

"Barack Obama has shown he cannot get the votes Democrats need to win – blue-collar, working class people," Limbaugh also said. "He can get effete snobs, he can get wealthy academics, he can get the young, and he can get the black vote, but Democrats do not win with that."

For months, Limbaugh has urged his listeners in states with open primaries to cross party lines and support Clinton in an effort he has dubbed "Operation Chaos." The conservative talk show host has said the Republican Party will benefit from a protracted Democratic race that grows more bruising by the week.

It remains unclear how much influence Limbaugh has actually wielded. The Obama campaign estimates 7 percent of Clinton's vote in Indiana could be attributed to cross-over Republicans. According to Indiana exit polls, Clinton did win the Republican vote by 8 percentage points, but those voters only made up 10 percent of the electorate.

Obama supporter John Kerry credited Clinton's win entirely to Limbaugh.

"Rush Limbaugh was tampering with the primary," he said on an conference call with reporters. "If it was not for Republicans taking Democratic ballots, [Obama] would have won."

Talk about disenfranchised, there are MORE young, MORE blacks, and MORE College Graduates in this country willing to get out and vote than I think he will give credit for. And if Obama is the Candidate, they will be out in droves.

Change is Coming!

History isn't on your side in terms of voter demographics. Maybe this is the year, but there's a reason politicians typically don't actively court "young voters".

Begala pipes in.

Mr. Begala, a Clinton supporter, said the party could not win in November with just “eggheads and African-Americans,” that the party could not ignore white middle-class voters.

The people that voted for clinton will mostly vote for Obama in the fall. Count on it. Most people thought that either of them would make a good president. They thought that we had two strong candidates and in the end they had to pick one and vote that way. Now that we are pretty sure the candidate will be Obama. you will see probably 75% of the clinton voters turn to Obama and stick with the party. The rest will either stay home or vote 3rd party. I think it will be a cold day in hell when a Clinton voter decides that they would rather vote for McCain than Obama.

But Clinton supporter Herb Buecher of Charleston, South Carolina, said he would no longer back Obama after hearing controversial remarks by Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

"I can't support a man who sits for 20 years and listens to that rhetoric and then says he didn't hear it," he said of Wright's comments, which have included the assertion the U.S. government purposefully spread the AIDS virus to blacks and the September 11 attacks were payback for U.S. foreign policy.

Buecher said he would vote for McCain if Obama wins the party nod.

I think that is a fair statement, I don't think many people that voted for Obama would vote for Hillary if she gets the nod though.

I think quite a few would, but her actions in the campaign have certainly turned off many who may have before.

Yeah, re-reading what I posted I worded it badly. I think most Hillary people will/would vote for Obama. I think LOTS of Obama people will/would vote for Hillary as well, but not nearly as many.

Another reason why open primaries are stupid, but I think Rush is pathetic for urging his retarded listeners to interfere in the primaries.. we should have an honest contest between parties without people from either interfering in the other party's selection process

I think there's a decent number of people who are fed up with the Republicans but who'll buy into the idea that Obama is too liberal for them, and unless it's Clinton, they'll bite their tongue and vote for Grandpa McCain

I think a lot of people have no idea what's going to happen but are projecting what THEY are going to do onto "everyone else" and saying "that's what they'll do" but leaving off the parenthetical "because that's what I'm going to do."

Isn't this the same group of people that was regarded as getting the last guy his job?

Are we really saying that unless middle class white suburbanites who need to feel like having a BBQ with someone is the best way to judge character?

Is it fair that Obama gets 90% of the democrat black vote? People are going to vote with the person that they:
1. Relate to most
2. Think will do a good job

Many middle and lower class whites do not relate with Obama's message nor do they agree his far left politics.

It is what it is, there are a lot of middle class white folks who just don't like Obama, they think he's smug and arrogant and couldn't possibly really identify with them for whatever reason.. I know some of these people IRL in NC, they're moderately conservative, but are sick to death of Bush and the way the Republicans have handled the running of the country.. and he's rubbed them the wrong way, and this Wright thing is being talked about quite a bit by those same people

They aren't bad people, they aren't racist, they just think (rightly or wrongly) that Hillary is better able to identify with where they're coming from.

In the past it's been different groups that ultimately played a large role in deciding the outcome of the election.. the black demographic has played a tremendously important role in getting Obama to where he is now

If he didn't receive such a dominating majority of their votes, he would have had to bow out long ago..
