No, it has to do with the D next to his name. They would have gone to Obama for anything short of Obama saying we should throw babies into wood chippers. It has nothing to do with him personally or his positions, but rather what he isn't and that is conservative.

He waited because Obama is about to lock this shit up. If the lead was bigger he would have endorsed Obama a long time ago. If he had any sack he would have endorsed him or hillary after he ducked out of the race. Everyone wants to be on the side of the winner.

Exactly. And if Hillary had won he would have endorsed her. He's only looking out for himself with this endorsement. It isn't genuine. He's a bullshitter and he's just looking for a promotion.

I don't consider John Edwards anything special, I know his wife is going through alot, but that doesn't mean he should be VP or even should be given a cabinet slot. What cabinet slot would qualified for, he is a lawyer who was a only a 1 term Senator.

I'm trying to decipher what you're really saying here... But Reagan is still an idiot not knowing his military was making deals with what we would call "terrorists" today about American hostages. It's just really, really, dumb and shows that Reagan wasn't really running the backstage show.

You really think Reagan didn't know?

Yeah, I do. It wasn't sanctioned with his authorization and Oliver North was the head-official in the whole arms-for-hostages scandal. Trust me the President doesn't have the all seeing eye, he has to listen to executive branch of information. This was all done under the nose of him. He was inept, which made him a bad president. Though his side will always argue about "fiscal conservatism" and how he spoke-out against the Soviet Empire. Great things, still doesn't dismiss how this major fuck-off ruined his legacy as a President of the United States. GOP act as if this scandal never happened.

I think it's a little naive to believe he didn't know about it. It's more likely North simply took the fall to protect the President than it is that the President didn't know what was going on and wasn't involved in trying to get around the laws passed by Congress

But I agree, the GOP ignore this and praise Reagan like he was the second coming
