| Yes sir thats exactly right. Up until 60 dollar oil shale wasn't considered viable. But at 60, 80, 100 and 120 dollar oil it is very viable and if the president and other politicians would be honest with the american people I think the vast majority of america would be ok with high prices. Think about it, if the president or anyone for that matter said "we have 250 billion barrels of extractable US oil in shale and off the OCS but it will cost us an average of 125 dollars a barrel the next 20 years to get it" I think we'd go for it. Thats US oil, US jobs and independance from middle eastern sources of oil. We could strengthen ties with Canada and Mexico and even some middle/south american countries (brazil comes to mind) while simultaneous decreasing our dependance on terrorist nations and decreasing our presence in the middle east. Unfortunately we dont have politicians with the understanding of the industry or the balls/knowledge to do it. | ||||

There have been probably 20 or 25 articles on energy this week in the WSJ, we have plenty of energy in this country but the politicians want to pander to special interest so we can't get the oil, natural gas, wind, nuclear and hydro power that are in abundance in our own nation! Not to mention coal that can be burned using clean coal technology that is VERY clean! | ||||
