Anyone watch Recount on HBO tonight?

I thought it was really good. Obviously it's coming from the Democratic perspective and I don't think the intention of it was to be "fair and balanced" to steal a phrase from folks who don't abide by it, but overall I thought it was really good

Kevin Spacey did an amazing job as he always does (I wonder if Ardent hates him as much as he hates Tom Hanks?), and the supporting cast was awesome as well.

They intertwined the movie with scenes from real life press conferences and things that they didn't otherwise include in the movie..

It left me with the feeling of being pretty angry with the way things turned out.

I caught the last 15 mins so can't really say much other than I'd like to see the whole thing. Was it like Oliver Stone's JFK with a disregard of historical fact or was it based in how things actually happened?
No wonder at the timing of the release I guess with this being an election year especially if as you say it comes from the Demoocrats perspective.

I think it was fairly accurate, I mean, I didn't spot any outright fabrications (though I wasn't really trying).. I'm sure they took some liberties with the private dialogues, but other than that

I'm sure they'll be replaying it

I liked it - I think they were pretty fair. Pointing out that the democrats only wanted to recount counties that were heavily democratic instead of the whole state thus stacking the deck for a Gore win. Then pointing out how good the republican spin machine is versus the democrats

I want to see it. I love Spacey in everything. I'm curious to see how they spin the story.
