| gutcheck.msnbc.com MSNBC - Gut Check America Front Page I was really starting to like MSNBC, but they are being an extenstion of the Obama PR office. He is having a hard time polling with white Democrats, so they create this "gut check" to raise awareness about people that are multiracial. Isn't this something that Obama's office should be doing? They even use "Change" as part of their advertisement | ||||

| Not surprising, MSNBC has a friendly-war going on with FOX News right now. MSNBC decided it's moving to the left and trying to compete with FOX News that way. The only news station that'll benefit is CNN, because they have a nice mixture of both wings of the party. Anyways, I only support Real Time with Bill Maher, where else can I get libertarian commentary? Though his position on religion is outrageous. | ||||

| Are they clearly for Obama because they are educating an audience that could possibley be uneducated in the reality of multi-ethnic people? Because it was at one point in this country, that a person was one or the other, and to be an other meant a significant difference in treatment. I think some people are a bit in the dark to what reality looked like in this country, and just because some laws were passed only several decades ago, did not make the problem really dissappear. Many strides have been achieved, and Obama and Clinton are respectively reaping the benefits of those times. But, considering video that was on this forum of that "white lower middle democrat" reflected a facet of America that maybe isn't on the cutting edge in their own reflections on race and ethnic identity, might show how this would be beneficial to highlight since we have Obama as a potential President. | I think for some time now MSNBC has be pro-Obama, at the very least through their opinion shows. I also agree with the above about MSNBC trying to balance out Fox in hopes of ratings. The more friendly Fox becomes with Hillary and outcasts Obama, the more MSNBC supports Obama and outcasts Hillary. Or vice versa. It's interesting to watch the two stations who constantly nit pick each other as if they're better than each other while they're both basically doing the same exact thing. | ||||

| MSNBC is obviously trying to play the left version of Fox, but hasn't made a complete shift to only partisan coverage, they actually have some Republicans with shows (whereas Fox's only Democrat gets less than half the airtime on Hannity's show) I personally think it's a good topic to cover, IminWonderland is right.. a lot of people, are, IMO, not really educated on what it means to be mutli-ethnic / multi-racial.. and considering how easily so many of the people in this country seem to get scared of it ( | ||||

I'm not sure if I am supposed to be offended by Cable network News. They are all on the corporate paycheck, and none of them report stories without sensational bias. I don't think there is shock in either spectrum. | ||||
