I'm already losing it slowly but surely. It starts small, with smoking bans in public places and the leftover paternalization of the government and military from WWII through the Cold War. Add in some manufactured fear and you get cameras and random searches in the subway. These affect people every day. Then there are the other abuses that are out there which could happen to anyone (warrantless wiretapping, chargeless detention, secret trial evidence). I honestly can't even be bothered to worry about some faceless religious fanantic who the government wants me to be afraid of.
