Then there are the other abuses that are out there which could happen to anyone (warrantless wiretapping, chargeless detention, secret trial evidence).

anyone with ties to a terrorist organization. and how many people have been detained and later found to be innocent? i'll have to look into it some more. but... i believe the numbers are very few.

Iraq was not a nuke threat and we have done nothing but talk about Iran or NK. We have done virtually nothing to combat a nuclear threat from abroad, other than if you consider the makeshift missile defense shield, which really is not effective enough at this point to consider a defense.
