Best Wii games to buy?

I thought this would be fitting due to the recent game console discussion etc.

I recently bought a Wii and was wondering what are the best games to buy for it. The games are expensive and I don't want to buy one because it looks good. My all time favorite game is Halo that I have on my original Xbox. Also like some of the car racing games like Gotham racing.

Any suggestions.........

Guitar Hero 3 is all I've played since I got my wii. In fact I wore out the DVD drive on it so mine is broken now

Wii fit seems to be incredibly popular, I wanted to just look at the box and can't find it anywhere yet as it's sold out.

From what people tell me that /\ sounds like a solid list. However the only one on there I've really played for any length of time is Smash Bros. Great game. I loved playing the first two, this one doesn't dissapoint.

btw, if you haven't played it Eternal Darkness is a really good gamecube game that nobody seems to know or care about.

Stylerod mentioned the Lego Star Wars thing, I picked that up and it's been really a lot of fun

I'm thinking about taking it with me when I visit family since there will be 2 small kids, what do you guys think is the best game for like the 6-10 range?

And, are there any games that really benefit from having more than 2 remotes?

lego star wars
ben 10 (if they watch the show)
wii play (the add-on pack) has games my 5 year old loves
mario kart

but the old standby, the games that come with it are still right up there for fun. we got it for christmas and my 9 year old still plays golf, bowling, and tennis.

mario kart plays up to 4 but you really need a decent sized tv (40"+)

I can't find Mario Kart for sale anywhere

It's in stock on Amazon on the 7th of July, but I'm leaving on the 12th, no guarantee it gets here before then.. I suppose I could always have it shipped to the Address where I'm going though

It's very hard to find. I heard from a sales rep at a game store the reason for the hold up is that Nintendo has a shortage on the boxes to put the game/wheel in and they are unwilling to sell them separately. To get it I opened up the phone book and just started calling the stores and had them check their affiliated stores to find one that had it. When I found one who did, I called them up and asked them to hold it for me while I drove out there. There was only something like 3 Mario Karts for the Wii in the state that I could find. Luckily there was one about 30-40 minutes away so I went out there and grabbed it. It may help that I live in a more developed area.

A Target I just called got 3 in this morning

I went and picked it up, got a second wheel for $9.99, and then another 10% off the entire thing by signing up for that Target credit card, which I then promptly paid off at the customer service desk and will never use again

Good job I went to a GameStop and had them call every other GameStop in the county until they found one, then had that store hold it for me.

That was after looking for it for like 2 weeks.

Whatever age is too young to hold the remote and cognitive wherewithal to move a character around on the screen.

Maybe, 2 years old or older.

I watched my 5 year old play Mario Galaxy. I had to leave the room. The guy rotates around a "world" and walks upside down and on walls that meet at 90* angles and shit. My head started to get into it but I didn't know what he was going to do next and I found myself thinking he'd go up when he went left and I started getting a little nauseas (I can't read in a car, either).

lol

I watched a preview of that on the Nintendo channel, it looked pretty interesting but seemed a bit out there

I read in the car all the time (when I'm not driving obviously), so I doubt I'd have any kind of vertigo or nausea issues
