You're dancing around the real argument though. Sure, maybe .001% of the gay population is "pretending" to be gay for attention. But on the other hand a large portion of the gay population has at some point in their lives pretended to be straight in order to AVOID that attention. Neither group is changing their NATURAL attractions.

Seriously, there's something wrong with someone who believes people choose to be gay. "It's cool!" "It gets them attention!!" "I saw a guy at the mall with piercings, so gay people must be doing it for shock value!!!"

WTF... like pubicus said, I'm sure there's a percentage that do choose the lifestyle but the vast majority would tell you "this is how I was born." I'm waiting for the "you had trauma, even if you don't remember it" theory to surface. The lengths people will go to avoid the idea that possibly men could be attracted to other men is astounding, like somehow that makes them gay by proxy and they'll have to suck an obligatory dick or something.
