Like I was saying in the other thread, I don't understand how people take them seriously as a news network..

I fully expect things like this to ramp up now that Obama has the nomination, networks like Fox, Rush Limbaugh, and the other right wing hacks will do all they can to play on the fears and prejudices people have.. claiming Obama is a secret Muslim, making blatantly false allegations about him attending an Islamic school, etc.

It's disgusting. Like I said in another thread earlier, I've actually had one friend stop talking to me when I corrected his misconceptions, and this is a guy who follows politics pretty regularly..

Those people who are casual observers or don't care at all are IMO more apt to be fooled by such talk.

It makes me sad that Obama will probably have to spend a significant amount of money and time working against these right wing rumor mills..
