It is mysterious. I do think that people either don't care or want it legalized. Both my parents even think it should be legal. There are a few very loud opposers out there, and yet nothing happens.

There are some democrats that are willing to take on the fight. It's not political suicide, you just gotta have a decent district.

I think it's the older generation - ya the generation that is most likely to vote, is the one most likely to oppose legalization.

Overall, I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of the populace favors legalization, but I would be shocked if a majority of voters shared that sentiment.
