He took the city a few days later

Since July of 1099, Christians had ruled the city, but that was over for good after 1187

When the Christians took the city, they slaughtered the entire city's population (of which the Christians had left before the siege) of Jews and Muslims

When the Muslims took back the city, they put no one to the sword, and did not try to convert anyone at the point of a sword, rather they gave them all of them to the Christians at a price later negotiated

back in the 1800's people used to throw thier "night pots" out the window. Night pots were where they took a dump if it was night time. Then in the morning they threw them out into the alleys and streets. MMm I love the smell of poop in the morning.
