| John Bolton says Arab world would be "pleased" by an Israeli strike on Iran
Is he serious? The Arab world would be pleased by a strike on an Islamic nation? What is he putting on his moustache and then inhaling? I mean, these people are obviously hungry for more war.. there's no other way it makes sense to be essentially campaigning for strikes to take place. I also don't really believe them that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons. Maybe they are, maybe they're not. I don't know. What I do know is that they been wrong with every other prediction they've ever made, their foreign policy decisions have been disastrous, and they've been caught lying one too many times to take on its face their assertion that Iran wants a nuclear weapon. That said, it does make sense that they would want one. It's a great deterrent for a military invasion of their country if they do have one, it makes them more powerful and they'll get a seat at the big boys table instead of being treated like a child by the international community. Do you guys think it's realistic that the President would attack Iran if it looked like Obama was going to be elected because he thought it wouldn't get done under Obama's watch? If so, should he be allowed to do that? I don't think the AUMF or any other legislation gives him the power to attack a nation without some sort of Congressional authorization (at least), or a declaration of war.. but things like the "law" and what "legislation" "says" hasn't stopped him from doing what he wants before.. | ||||

| First of all you need to remember Iran isn't arab its persian. Secondly a lot of nations that are considered "muslim" like egypt and turkey have for quite sometime shown a lot more subtle hints that they are against the rampant hate for the jews and the isreali state. | ||||

| To address your points about bush, no he wouldn't attack Iran simply because Obama wins the white house. If Iran attacked Israel or another ally then we'd attack and for good reason, but otherwise no. We wont attack. | ||||

| Sure, it opens the doors to "wipe them off the face of the earth"...giving them permission to retaliate against Israel without looking like aggressors. | ||||
