| I think this is a rather silly investigation. What if a pastor, which I have heard some of them do, praise the Administration for freeing people in the ME. Is this guy getting picked on because he was against the war? Because I can point the IRS in several directions in my county that lean the other way. | ||||

| I dunno, I don't want any churches involved in trying to get people to vote a certain way while maintaining tax exempt status. If you know of any, you should turn them in. | ||||

| I'm pretty sure there were ZERO churches in the Bible belt that said "Vote for George Bush" in the '04 elections. | ||||

| Well, if Christianity is supposed to be against War, and maybe a certain sect practices passivity and what not, and they believe that war is wrong, why shouldn't they be able to say to their congregation, "War is wrong because....A, B, C, D..." At the same time, if a religion believes that a war is just, and so on and so forth, then shouldn't they be able to have a stance on that? What about 9/11? After that church's everywhere were touting patriotism, and no one reported them? I don't believe they should be endorsing candidates, but they don't need to. People take the values of their church, and sometimes apply it to a candidate before voting, my own Mom votes that way. | ||||

| If being against war is political speech, then speaking about abortion, euthanasia, stem cell research, and any issues relevant to religious beliefs should be outlawed in churches. | ||||
