This is assuming President Bush leaves office in 6 months without an attack. Do you think that he will be credited with keeping this country safe after 9/11? I believe that he will, while he has made a plethora of mistakes he has kept this country safe from terrorist attacks....

| I think if within the next 20 years it is proven that had security not been like it is, he may get a little credit. However, I find it more likely that a lot of what he's done will be rolled back and we still won't be attacked. If that happens, I think he'll be looked down upon even more for taking shit too far (pretty much like he is now, but even worse). | ||||

| There have been thousands of terrorist attacks. They havn't been in the continental US but they have been occuring all over the globe. We took 150,000 people from the US and put them in Iraq so naturally the terrorists have been attacking them where they are easiest to attack, but to say that there have not been any terrorist attacks is a bit silly. Major terrorist attacks on US soil have always been very few and far between. | ||||

| Considering he's helped create more terrorists and has radicalized a new generation of young muslims, the blowback from his idiotic invasion of Iraq wont be felt for years, I'm sure. These people don't attack on a quick time scale, they're willing to wait and plot and I'm sure at some point in the future they're going to be successful, it's inevitable. In the mean time, though, they're content to get training in an urban environment in Iraq and recruit more and more people to their cause.. if not Al Qaeda specifically, then other groups similar and sympathetic to their agenda. | ||||
