LONDON, July 7 (UPI) -- Toddlers who say "yuck" when given flavorful foreign food may be exhibiting racist behavior, a British government-sponsored organization says. | UK says kids who don't like foreign food may be racist
Is there no lengths that the UK will go to be politically correct? I don't think kids opinions are generally sophisticated enough to say "I don't like Arabs/Indians/Whatever, thus their food is yucky.." .. Kids don't like new food, no matter where it comes from, and that should be obvious to anyone who's spent time around kids or grew up not wanting to try new foods.. I know I was certainly that way when I was younger, and I think it's pretty normal and common

| There are lots of food that could be called "ethnic" that I don't like as an adult. Is that racism or xenophobia? No, it is different tastes in food preference. This is more PC silliness. | ||||

This type of thing is a perfect example of groupthink - everyone works to appease and all fail to recognize or address the obvious failure.

| that article sucks. they're identifying signs of racism. I agree that saying "yuk" to a food is a stupid one and shouldn't be included, but the other examples they give in this article are valid. Toddlers who dislike spicy food racist, say report - Telegraph | ||||

| "Racist incidents among children in early years settings tend to be around name-calling, casual thoughtless comments and peer group relationships," the guide says. National Children's Bureau? Can a child be called normal if he / she doesn't: name-call, make casual thoughtless comments or engage in peer group relationships? What a load of politically correct nonsense. | ||||

| The kids are just copying the actions of someone in their lives probably their parents not that they just might not like the food but to single out one kind of food, or to make thoughtless comments and name calling they are learning that from someone.
