My son is a nerd....

I was helping my nephew (a kindergartner) with his homework....

My son asks what we are doing, and I tell him "This is homework that he got at school, so we are doing homework."

He asks me, "Where's my homework?"

I told him, "You don't get any from your school."

He said "That's not fair! I want to do homework too!"

ahhhhh....if only he knew what he was really saying....

I hope I am raising a budding bookworm....

Some guy news for you. We are constantly saying "If I knew then what I know now..........." and we never mean "I wish I stayed in my dorm room and read all these books."

Do him a favor, teach him to screw anything that walks. Of course make sure he has some education but only enough to stop the drooling. Then get him out there, sleeping around as much as possible. Then post pics of his conquests so we can live vicariously through him .

Never have him say "If I knew then.........."

I used to love to mow the lawn when I was young. If I could afford a lawn, I'm pretty sure I'd still love to do it. The noise of the mower drowning everything else out was kinda therapeutic - it let me think clearly.

Yep. I actually like mowing the yard and snowblowing the driveway in the winter.

My wife wanted to hire someone to do those and I said "instead of getting someone to mow, how about we get someone to clean the house?" Same price, my wife is less of a pain about cleaning, and I still get my 2 hours of peace while I mow every week....and the best part is I look like a hero for hiring someone to clean the house. My wife hated vacuuming, I like mowing....seems like common sense to me.

...include edging/trim, it takes about 2 hrs. And yes, weekly...grass does this annoying thing called "growing" and it doesn't slow down or stop all summer.

It takes me about 2 hours to mow. I used to have a riding mower and it took just over an hour. But now I push it. I hate mowing the lawn. Always have, always will.

I used to love mowing the grass ... then our lawnmower broke and my parents decided to just have people do it instead of buying a new mower.

A wonderful benefit to living in NJ.... tiny lots. It takes me probably 30 minutes to mow my entire lawn with a walk behind mower.

I think my lawn is about an hour and a half, all push mowing. I don't weed whip here so that's all the time it takes. I need to do it this weekend.
