No, it is not all necessarily "income redistribution". Paying for the judicial system is not. Neither is paying for "defense". Neither is paying for roads. Just because there are externalities does not mean it is "income redistribution".

I just finished watching some documentary on prisons and they showed the room where families visit. They showed a guy only barely touch the woman, then put his hand below the table for less than 1 second, then back on the table. The entire thing took 2 seconds, tops. The narrator said "she just passed him drugs and when he put his hand under the table he stashed the drugs in his anus to smuggle past the guards." Every video/example they gave was of a black guy doing this. If I'd seen latino, asians, or whites do it I would have said them.

^I'm just saying, they do it too. It's a prison, full of criminals. I just find it a bit interesting you went and pointing out a particular ethnicity.

depends on how you want to look at it. either way they are taking my money and giving it to someone else. they pay the judges and the janitors in the courthouse, they pay the landscapers to mow the lawn. etc. they take the money I earned by working and give it to someone else for some other purpose.

I am not talking about a show...I am talking about how you decided to single out a particular race when talking about hiding cocaine in prison. You're not stupid...white people do it. Asians do it. Blacks do it. Hispanics do it. To claim "I didn't see it on tv so I don't know they do it" would be completely ridiculous.

^Agreed. I wouldn't call him a racist though, I would say that's a very poor choice of words on his part and shows him to be a little naive to the situation if that's what he truly believes.
