Tony Snow R.I.P.

Tony Snow passes away at 53. I really like Tony Snow as press secretary. It's a shame, but he has been battling cancer.

He seemed like a great guy. He was a pretty funny press secretary. I had no idea he was still fighting cancer. 53, uhg, that is way too young.

Well thats three well known people having dropped dead, two of them fantastic guys in Tony Snow and Tim Russert

I feel for his family, having lost my dad and grandpa to cancer it pretty much sucks, but prayer and time will help heal the wounds.

sad, but not unexpected.. At least he had time to prepare his family.. He had been looking so gaunt and thin.

Way too young for sure.

The Westborough Baptist Church is using this as an excuse to protest again. I hope the family is able to mourn in peace.

I'll go out on a limb here. I never honestly wish death, illness, or harm on anyone. I will not do it in this case either. However, his positions were very significant and he could have done a lot of things much different. Instead he put his own agenda first instead of being resonsible. During a time where truth should have prevailed, he was a component the opposite at times. I am not blaming him directly for things but covering things up and not answering questions like any of the previous press secretaries, along with his fox "news" reporting... he was part of a larger problem that has really plagued our country. I have a lot of contempt for people like him. I am having difficulty not going as far as to say we could be better off without him.

It is sad for family and friends of his, and hope them the best.

Not surprised at this, except it took so long!

R.I.P. Tony Snow, didn't really know the guy or heard of him.

I do think though he isn't as big as a problem as the Administration is. He was just an anchor and press secretary. He had political beliefs and he stood by them, I respect that. I still point the finger at Nancy Pelosi and certain Democrats not pushing for the impeachment of George W. Bush, they have no spine and allowing the new FISA laws to pass show their spine.

I wonder if you ever listened to his radio show when he wasn't being a mouthpiece for the administration. He parted with the administration in numerous ways that he only mentioned on his radio show. When doing his job at the whitehouse he discussed what teh whitehouse told him to discuss.

I don't expect he had any idea who he was or ever listened to his show. Hell, they even say this in the linked story.

As a TV pundit and commentator for FOX News, Snow often was critical of Bush
They just see a conservative is dead and their first thought is "good".

I never listened to his radio show but for a variety of reasons, the main one being I rarely listen to the radio.

I understand that he was told to discuss what the white house wanted, and he might have disagreed with Bush on some issues. I am sure his own wife doesn't agree with him on every issue. When there is something on the horizon like an invasion of a country people on the left and right should put ethics and the truth first. Again, I am not blaming him specifically but he was part of a larger problem.

I don't really pay much attention to Keith Olbermann but if he starts defending Barack Obama and other democrats despite all reason and logic, than he is in the same group.

They are professional trolls, trolling for ratings instead of being responsible. Motivez article addresses it.
