| I'm sure we'll never know whether they were terrorists or simply inconvenient for the Chinese government. | ||||

| yeah dude, the totalitarian way of dealing with religion is definitely the best way to go about it. That's exactly what the founders meant by "freedom of religion." | ||||

| China has been using the war on terror to persecute the Uyghurs for quite a while now. The region has been quite autonomous and wishes to break away to form a greater Turkistan and China is using the war on terror as an excuse to crack down on this political movement and take political prisoners. It is nothing short of a human rights violation on China's part. It is the same story up there that exists in other parts of China such as Tibet, with Han Chinese culture invading long standing local traditional cultures and the locals feeling and actually becoming repressed as a result. There was a small violent seperatist group but they have been largely quiet for well over a decade now and the resistance to the Chinese government is, by far, mostly political. It was China that brought the issue back up when it started its raids and local religious and political involvement, resulting in stuff like this. It's just like with the Falun Gong. If they are not part of the majority then they are painted as bad guys and smeared in the media and then slowly set upon by the government. | ||||

| Well, for what we are doing it isn't. The minority is what is causing issue in the places we are, such as Iraq. If we blow up holy sites and such it will bring in and create new enemies that otherwise would be nuetral or with us. They know this so they use something like a mosque as "base" in our game of tag. | ||||
