Wow. Kudo's to them! WASHINGTON (Reuters) - One of President George W. Bush's fiercest political opponents at home took his side on Thursday, calling Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez a "thug" for his remark that Bush is like the devil. "Hugo Chavez fancies himself a modern day Simon Bolivar but all ...

| Dude, the Ahmedenajad (sp?) and Chavez are being invited to speak around the US. People, like Cindy, are embracing these guys. They don't have to give him a hug to show they are welcoming him. | ||||

| An overwhelming majority of people in this country disagree with both of these men. There's a few conservatives who could be found that'd agree with the KKK or Nazi's or whatever, but that's hardly representitive of their movement. It's disingenuous to make the claim that there's broad support for their outrageous position by "the left". | ||||

And I understand why he said it. However, I have to wonder, has our President, current or former, ever gone abroad and talked shit about another leader in their home country? Is this something we are condemning, even though we've done it ourselves? | ||||

| I don't know, and don't have time to research if we had. But, I know that we tend to give alot of countries reasons to hate us, if we are going to hate a leader, not only because of doctrine, but because of a speech they make about our leader, then it makes me wonder if we are being two faced...a bit... I can't imagine that NONE of our Presidents have ever said anything about another leader on foreign soil, with the Cold War on..... | ||||

| I don't agree with Pilosi...Chavez should be able to say whatever he wants at the UN, that's the point of these UN meetings...but going out into churches and whatnot and talking shit crosses the line. | ||||
