| McClellan proves me right: Fox News is a mouthpiece for the Bush White House
Friend of mine linked this to me while I was on vacation, and it confirms what I've been saying for years now, and which some people have mocked me for: That the Fox network continually parrots White House talking points, often verbatim, in order to help further the pro-Republican agenda while trying to pass it off as fair and balanced coverage to their viewers, all the while lashing out at other, more independent media outlets as being 'biased' and 'left-wing' While I certainly don't deny that other networks have pundits who are left (though, what isn't if you use Fox as the level?), I can't think of any other example of such a systematic bias as that which exists at Fox news in any other network. MSNBC, although it has Olbermann, used to have Tucker Carlson on before, and a former Republican Congressman (Joe Scarborough) on right after, and CNN has people like Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs.. giving, in comparison, a much more well rounded lineup of pundits than Fox makes available for its viewers. Just another reason not to trust Fox for your news if you're really interested in getting a balanced report on what's going on in the world. | |||||||

| I agree 100%. Like you, I knew all along that Faux news had an underlying agenda.

| It's more than just the underlying agenda though. Anyone can see that they're biased to the right. It's the systematic nature of it that people have often denied, at least on these forums, claiming that it's no different than CNN or MSNBC. This proves that it is. | ||||

| This is why I don't pay attention to Fox news. It's pretty blatant that they are biased. BTW, Who watches TV for real news anymore? We are all on a better information source right now, the intertubes.

| That's another thing I've been saying for awhile. Television news is for the most part, utter shit. There's a few exceptions, like Fareed Zakaria's show on CNN, but that's because Fareed Zakaria kicks ass despite the network, not because of it. | ||||

| I would. He has nothing left to lose. He's not working for anyone, he's not on anyone's payroll, and his book has been out long enough now that it's unlikely his recent admissions will translate into sales. Also, I hope you're not trying to say ORLY is. | ||||

| The scariest part about Scott McCellen is that he isn't the first to leave and write a book? The problem is that everytime a former Bush crony stepa wn and then a year or so later they have a book come out, well, to me, to his story I said "wow, another one." But that's not the scariest part about him, the scariest part is that if your ear was to the ground of this country and paying attention for the past century, it's becoming easier now for Administrations to over step thei authority, and to test how thei public will react. And this country was a deer in headlights. Journalist or novelist, writers have bias. But writers have motivations. What kind of narrative have they tried to write for our country the past 7 years? Fox News.
