DoD has an operating budget of over 500 billion dollars a year, millions of people work directly for DoD, contractors etc

Millions of people own stock in companies that have DoD contracts and thus profit from the wars

I'd have to agree with tehking honestly (with a "but...").

If you own a share of a stock that benefits because of the war, you are a 'war profiteer', but I think that's on a much more miniscule scale than someone like Cheney would be.. so I'm not sure if it's really a valid way to negate the criticism.

How exactly is Cheney a war profiteer? He isn't allowed to control his own stocks while in office, they're held in a blind account for the duration... It isn't like he can call his broker and tell him to buy/sell certain stocks and then use his influence to make those companies richer/poorer.

Cheney was a huge factor in convincing the American people that we had no choice but to invade Iraq. Cheney laid out all of the facts for us and many believed him and thus gave their support. Now that we all know that he gave us false facts, and he knew he was giving false facts, that makes him an accessory. He is the single reason I dont push for impeachment,,,, I couldnt even imagine calling that man President

NO, he sold the war to America. He made people believe we HAD to go into Iraq. He wasnt merely a supporter he was a main spokesperson.

In order for someone to be a war criminal they have to break a law.

I know next to nothing about war law, what is legal and what isnt, but Im pretty sure a pre-emptive stike under false pretenses just might qualify especially when the casualty count it taken into consideration. Cheney is 2nd in command in leadership of this country and was very much involved in the decision making process.
