| I'd have to agree with tehking honestly (with a "but..."). If you own a share of a stock that benefits because of the war, you are a 'war profiteer', but I think that's on a much more miniscule scale than someone like Cheney would be.. so I'm not sure if it's really a valid way to negate the criticism. | ||||

| Cheney was a huge factor in convincing the American people that we had no choice but to invade Iraq. Cheney laid out all of the facts for us and many believed him and thus gave their support. Now that we all know that he gave us false facts, and he knew he was giving false facts, that makes him an accessory. He is the single reason I dont push for impeachment,,,, I couldnt even imagine calling that man President | ||||

| Cheney's net worth went up by a factor of 10 in a span of just 5 years after he handed out the contracts to his company. YouTube: Contractor Cheney and Facilitated Corruption He deliberately morphed "talking points" into objective facts and sold them to the American people. It was bold faced lies slander coming right from the mouth of our very own contractor (read: VP) | ||||

Intelligence reports also indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons, but has not yet achieved nuclear capability." -- Robert Byrd, October 2002 "There's no question that Saddam Hussein is a threat... Yes, he has chemical and biological weapons. He's had those for a long time. But the United States right now is on a very much different defensive posture than we were before September 11th of 2001... He is, as far as we know, actively pursuing nuclear capabilities, though he doesn't have nuclear warheads yet. If he were to acquire nuclear weapons, I think our friends in the region would face greatly increased risks as would we." -- Wesley Clark on September 26, 2002 Not a member of congress but major player in the democratic party In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002 and on and on. Were they not selling the war as well? | ||||
