| Maybe he didn't like some of the other dozens and dozens of other things that were attached to that bill It isn't just an energy bill. It's the "Jobs, Energy, Families, and Disaster Relief Act of 2008" That's the thing these days. They load such a huge pile of shit on a bill they think will go through that all the sudden a good bill becomes crap. I hate that and both parties do it. Obama didn't vote for this either. | Newt was on hannity and colmes last night saying that gas prices and oil prices have been dropping just from merely talking about drilling for new oil, then proceeded to imply that the price would drop even more crazy if we actually did it. ... but they failed to mention that US demand for oil dropped the most it has in 26 years, something like 800,000 barrels a day. | ||||

Prices are based on futures speculation. Some sources say we may have more oil than Kuwait. If that proves to be true and we start ramping up to drill prices will continue to fall. I would love it if we could bring our dependence on foreign oil down to little or nothing. We will always need oil. Not just for fuel but for so many other things that won't be affected by more solar/wind/nuclear power. | ||||

They don't want us there, fine by me..they don't get our money either...and its tens of billions.
