| bill clinton's a moron DENVER — Bill Clinton appeared to undermine Sen. Barack Obama again Tuesday. The former president, speaking in Denver, posed a hypothetical question in which he seemed to suggest that that the Democratic Party was making a mistake in choosing Obama as its presidential nominee. He said: "Suppose you're a voter, and you've got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don't think that candidate can deliver on anything at all. Candidate Y you agree with on about half the issues, but he can deliver. Which candidate are you going to vote for?" Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: "This has nothing to do with what's going on now." TheHill.com - Bill Clinton in Denver again undercuts Obama does he really think we're not going to believe his question has nothing to do with what's going on now? anyway, does anyone think hillary is going to intentionally or otherwise fuck up obama's chances? i do. i think believe she's still campaigning and if she sees an opening she'll go for it rather than support obama. | ||||

| They are a family scorned. God bless them! There's all sorts of shit bubbling at this DNC. Bill, Hillary and PUMA; at this point I'm wondering if Obama will even get the knee jerk bounce in numbers after the convention is over | ||||

| What did they think was going to happen? Hillary was the annointed one when all this started. Everyone, even high level republicans thought she had it. So how would you feel if everyone KNEW you were going to be the democratic nominee and it was stolen from you by someone that was a virtual unknown before 2007? You go to the convention and cause as much havok as possible, that's what you do! Last edited by Swift-Bass; 08-26-2008 at 08:30 PM. | ||||

| I dont think so. It is in her best interests to come out in a way that unites the party. If they come out as butt hurt douche bags and barack were to lose...her chances in 2012 are hurt pretty bad. And im not sure why they are so butt hurt. Michigan and Florida knew the rules, knew the consequences, and then violated the rules away...then cry when they see the consequences. | ||||

In all honesty, I think the whole thing is funny. She just might have won if it wasn't for the DNC's rules that effected Michigan and Florida. Why didn't she go nuts BEFORE those primaries to make sure those votes counted? Very funny stuff.

| So how calculated do you think all of this is? To me, it sure looks like they're playing good cop/bad cop. Hillary is going to be there doing her best to say all of the right things to look good to all of the dem faithful (and to try and outshine Biden) which will stir up the resentment among her followers and Bill gets to sit on the sidelines and stir the pot with snide comments like this. She still gets to remain in good standing AND help tear down Obama at the same time. It's not in her best interest for Obama to win, if he does she won't be able to run again until she's pushing 70. | ||||

| She has absolutely zero chance of winning in 2012 if Obama wins the presidency. It actually might be in her best interest to make Obama lose. If she could pull it off while at the same time looking innocent, she could argue that she would have been the more likely canidate to win the presidency, and therefore should be the 2012 nominee. If Obama wins the White House, then Hill has to wait untill 2016. | ||||

| Hillary Clinton actually gave a really good speech this evening, in the end, Bill Clinton (Mr. Philandering) is the one that kept her out of the White House. If she's smart, she's going to divorce him to achieve political brilliance in 2016 (Obama, I think is winning this election). Bill Clinton is a moron, I completely I agree. I think Hillary Clinton is still a bitch and still a snake. But that speech was really good, and it makes me think if you're going to compromise your issues, Obama might as well picked Hillary Clinton instead of Joe Biden. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

| It's a shame what has happened to him. He used to be so savy. I mean he was a Rhodes Scholar for gods sake. The guy was ( is? ) brilliant. Lately he has just turned bitter and seems to work against the party too often. | ||||

| Power is addictive. He's got more money than he can spend, but IMO he misses the power. It's got to be tough to go from the most powerful person in the world to where he is now. | ||||

| Billy can't get over it can he? to bad. I think he let his brain slip there and let his true feelings leak out. I think he is more upset his wife didn't make it than she is. She gave the best speech I've ever heard her give. She might have been the nominee if she had made more speeches like that, she sounded like someone who wanted to be president than a bitter old school teacher. Billy better make a good speech tonight or he'll be chased out of the party. | ||||

It's not like a select few in the party decided this. The Party voters did.

It seemed like Obama got a huge boost of fundraising, that might have been from anti-Clinton democrats
