I have worked at the same company for more than 20 years. About 5 years ago they were moving my office to another city about an hour and a half away and I just didn't want to pack my family and move. So I told them I was going to resign after the move. They were fantastic to me. They gave me all kinds of bonuses for helping move, get things set up, training new staff etc. I worked for them for about 2 months after the move to make sure everything was ok and that was it. The first week I was panicked. I had never not had a job before. I felt sick to my stomach. I would get mini panic attacks like "OMG! I have a family and NO JOB!" But after a few weeks I got productive around the house. My wife was making decent money at real estate and I started to get serious about finding a new job. Then the same company I had just left told me about a job in my area and asked if I wanted it. I was off for a total of 4 months and got back with the same company with an even better job.

Anyway, I rambled. You're a really bright person and I'm sure the guys at that company will give you great letters of recomendation. I know the timing is bad but hopefully, when you are ready, you will get a great new job.
Yeah, I keep going through like, mood changes about it. I'm sure it's the horemones. At one point I'll be like, whatever we'll be alright with Disability, Unemployment, or whatever. And then the next minute I am crying saying that we should move in with my Mother in Law because we can't live off one income. My Husband seems confident so I suppose I should only be as worried as he is? I mean, we have options. And they aren't bad options. But, I've had a job seriously, since I was 15. I've never not had a job. And I've had many jobs, but I always left the job because I got a better one, or one that used my skills better. So this is really a shock to my self esteem, because I know that I have skills that I could just go out and get another job, I have a nice resume, and I'm qualified for alot. But, I'm almost 8 mos pregnant, and don't really want to go get one of those jobs for all practical reasons.

<sigh> Well....at least I can get a break from commuting for a while...

Yeah, and really, it's better to happen now than 6 months ago when were were first pregnant. You were going to take time off anyway. This give you some "me" time to prepare yourself and your house for baby.

So like, i was reading through this thread and like omg i felt sooo bad for the pregnant lady. But she like.. totally understand why because the company couldn't really like..afford her position anymore. So thats cool. She was thinking it before hand, like prepping herself, so everything came out ok.

Diesel, are you from Cali? Don't we all say "like" here?

I took a class on English in America, about dialects and all that in America...

And Southern California we also use an elongated "o" in many words....For example:

"Yesterday, I went to schOOOl, and then there was all these like, cars in the parking laawt, and this car cut me awf (off)"

Does that make sense? The elongated O?
