Sure, but its kind of a hard sell and looks kind of hypocritical to shit on lobbyists and then hire them to run your campaign.

Barack Obama has a very limited amount of lobbyists around him. I think he has like...3 on his staff. I dont remember the number but I am pretty sure it is less than 5.

It's an appearances argument...you know...just like the one where a black woman writing a book can't be objective while moderating a debate.

Lets do a little bit of recap.

The fundamentals are strong, but i mean workers, so i will suspend my campaign and postpone debates, only to not really suspend it, while i go to washington to lead republicans to pass this bail out yet it fails with 133 republicans voting no making it 12 votes short of passing. So you "go back out" campaigning again while the senate passes a different version with 150 billion in pork spending.

THEN lets admit the economy is bad for the campaign, so throwing a hail mary of sorts to go negative to distract from the real issues (McCain or country first?), the same style that he was ademately against not so long ago, after they withdrawl the campaign from Michigan. Lets go negative with an issue like rev. wright, that has already been addressed while the Vice presidential candidate has a pastor that is just as, if not more so, fucked up than rev wright. Lets bring up ties to a distiguished professor at chicago university because he was a radical figure when Barack Obama was 8 years old...only to 30 years later have a fundraiser. Meanwhile the keating 5 investigation is on his own record and it ironically involved shady real estate deals and corrupt politicians.

Voted with george bush 90-95% of the time but claims to be a reformer and maverick, while it seems to be a case of reformed maverick. Says he is going to lower taxes but increase taxable income for those with health benefits.

Oh, also, he voted with Ronny and GHWB about the same percentage, and voted against Bill Clinton the same percentage. He's typical of the right-down-the-line voting.

^It looks like John McCain is now crashing his chances at piloting Air Force One and being President. At least we know he does one thing well and that's crash-landings.

I lol'd (while covering my mouth).

I don't think his war injuries (from bailing out of a plane that he blasted into enemy fire) would allow him to fly the plane, anyway. I could be wrong, though.

During his unsuccessful bid for the 2000 GOP presidential nomination, McCain said of the Roe v. Wade decision, “I'd love to see a point where it is irrelevant and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe vs. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to (undergo) illegal and dangerous operations."

After a furor broke out in conservative ranks over that comment, McCain issued a statement which said, "I have always believed in the importance of the repeal of Roe vs. Wade, and as president, I would work toward its repeal.”

In 1987 he voted to confirm the nomination of Robert Bork, who had written that Roe v. Wade was “an unconstitutional decision, a serious and wholly unjustifiable usurpation of state legislative authority.”

But McCain has also voted to confirm the nominations of Souter in 1990, Ginsburg in 1993, and Breyer in 1994 — even though he told Rick Warren in his August interview that he wouldn't have nominated them had he been president.
