| The question of whether Islam is more dangerous than Xianity is stupid because it's such a vague question, and depending on what the question really wants to know, it could have two different answers. Here's an analogy: What's more dangerous? Cancer or the flu? Well, it depends on what you mean...do you measure danger by which, at this very moment, is doing more killing? If so, then the answer is cancer. Or do you measure danger by potential to kill? If so, then the answer might be the flu, because under the right circumstances, it could kill more people in a period of time than cancer. Or do we look into history and see which has killed more people? Maybe the flu has killed more than cancer over human history. You get the point... And that's the problem with the Islam vs. Xianity question...you ask the question generally like that, no one knows exactly what you mean, or what the appropriate measure is, and so people have different answers, all of which could be right. The truth is, there is no right answer, which is why guys like Sean Hannity are douches for trying to crucify Rosie O'Donnel for saying extreme xianity = extreme islam. She's could very well be right, depending on what type of danger she had in mind. But this is what I hate about political dialogue...nuances like this don't fit well on a sound byte, so people take advantage of it. | ||||

| It's obvious the present day circumstance is more relevant. Therefore, cancer is more of a threat than the flu. The past has no effect on us when it comes to disease threats. Everything is too different. | ||||

| Yup. Anything has 'potential'. But we're not dealing with potentials, we're dealing with realities. | ||||

| No, I think you read Iran as "Iraq." You said danger is not measured by future potential, but by what's happening now. Well if that's the case, Iran's potential future acquisition of a nuclear weapon is not a danger, because it's purely a potential risk. | ||||

Iran has already shown itself to be a threatening entity; by proxy in support of Hezbollah, Hamas, insurgents in Iraq, etc. That is a reality.

So when people speak of needing to take action to stop Iran from acquiring a nuke, you can tell them there is no danger, because the nuke threat is purely potential.

| It's obvious you favor Islam over Christianity by the simple fact that you spell out Islam but not "Xianity." | ||||

But, what difference does it really make when it essentially means the same word? Because there is an X? And an X can be an indicator of crossing something out? I could see you draw that parallel. Sorry, just reminded me of linguistics...continue....

p.s., I don't favor Islam over Xianity. I think they're both equally retarded. I would say Xianity and Xlam, except that would cater to the pussyhurtedness of hypersensitive Christians, which I'm against. And btw, if you'll go through my posts, you'll notice I alternate between xianity and christianity, depending on my degree of laziness.

| Jesus Christ, this is like explaining something to my 5 year old niece... If you can show me an abbreviation for "hypersensitivity" that people readily understand with the same ease as "xian," I will gladly use it. ...and you give the muslims a hard time for being easily offended. | ||||
