Anyone have any proof that falling gas prices

are related to the election? Or is this just something that enough people repeat and it becomes "fact". Demand for gas goes down when the summer is over of course price will fall

Enough idiots are saying its linked to the election, which is great for Democrats...I think its somewhere like 45%, and no those aren't just Democrats

Latest LIKELY VOTERS generic ballot question gives Dems a 13pt edge...thats huge

To conspire to change gas prices...is so stupid...it is so much easier to hack the diebold election machines...if every diebold machine in Ohio was slightly altered just 6 votes, Kerry would have been President

There has never been a case where a candidate has been leading all election and then lost on election day...so OH, PA, RI, MT are tamper-proof...however TN/VA/MO are close enough...but from what I understand they aren't as electronic as other states

NJ is one I'd worry about with 20% undecided, however NJ democrats have a monopoly on fraud

The left leaning press is thinking about it. Therefore, they think it's on the mind of every citizen so they decide to make a poll and start asking. All the sudden some guy is being called during dinner and asked if he thinks there might be some connection between the election and falling gas prices. He figures, "hell, I don't know, I've never thought about it. Sure, I guess it could be." And voila! Poll numbers!!!

I never said that, but it's equally wrong when a party does. To celebrate it in any force is

I think people are speculating because gas prices have fallen significantly more than they normally do with just seasonal fluctuation. Typical seasonal fluctuation is usually about 20-25 cents. Prices have fallen more than a dollar in some area for apparently no reason. Supply has remained constant, there have been no new refineries built, the middle east is still unstable. People are looking for a reason and they can't find one. Did everyone suddenly sell thier SUV's for a Toyota Prius? maybe. I don't know.

No one has any proof. If they did I think there would probably be criminal charges filed agaist oil companies.

So I guess the Republicans can't take credit for the falling prices then, correct?

“We still see it as a strong issue for two reasons,” said Charles Schumer, the New York Democrat who runs the Senate campaign committee. “First, just about everybody believes they’re going to go back up again, and second, it’s an example, one of many, of the administration and the Republican Senate not having a policy that makes people’s lives better.”
I haven't seen a Republican take credit for it yet. Maybe I'm wrong... But I haven't seen anything like it. To the contrary I've seen Democrats getting pretty riled up over it. They hate to see good news for America because that means bad news for them.

Communist News Network:
Soledad O'Brien: "Ahead this morning, is there a conspiracy behind the drop in gas prices? Bloggers say there is something fishy going on."

...

Miles O’Brien: "Well, the national average is now $2.38 for unleaded regular. One month ago, it was $2.87. A year ago, it was $2.79. The price is supposed to go even lower as we head toward the election. Hmm."
It's amazing. Gas prices go down after the demand season and they're out in force attacking the GOP and throwing out left wing conspiracy theories... absolutely amazing.

Thats due solely to the mismanagement of the democrat party. They've been lead around by the extremist in their party so the only way they can win is for America to have some loss somewhere. Gas prices, the war, etc...

If Iraq were going fantastic that'd be horrible news for democrats. This war is not going good we all know that but they demonstrate their need for bad news on a regular basis.

These comments about gas prices are a good example, the news of the economy continuing to chug along despite housing slow downs and high gas prices. The release of a few sentences from a report that they harped on as proof that the war was a shitstorm and should be abandoned, then when the bush admin wanted more of the report published suddenly they're for "responsible" release of information. Yet when hordes of information is released ILLEGALLY they're all for it so long as it benefits them.

I dont think most democrats want bad shit to happen to american in any way. But I do believe many leaders in the party are cheering/egging on and blowing out of proportion any and all bad news that they can.
