I can't wait to watch it in an hour and a half, I've got a reminder on my phone for it. I've already voted for the " terrist/socialist/Muslim/etc." So it won't change my vote I'm still excited to see it! Does he address the bullshit being said about him? I REALLY hope so! My republican sackriding friend doesn't know about it and is coming over at 7:30 tonight to hang out this should be fun

he did what he had to do... to some of us here it may seem like he's repeating the same thing, but there are so many uninformed people out there basing their vote on false information. a very effective ad

I really don't see how anyone can stand to sit through a half-hour political advertisement. Political advertising is propoganda. Period. You have as much chance hearing the truth from any political advertisement as watching a Michael Moore film or listening to Michael Savage.

To which Michael Moore film would you be referring, and how isn't that film factual?

So that 30 minutes was full of lies? He outlined the personal story of 4 families, then presented plans that he has that he feels would help them. Instead of McCain talking about how he is going to help you and me, he brings up some other potentially "controversial" education figure and says Obama had dinner with him. McCain leaves out that he gave over half a million dollars to that same guys organization... but why am I typing this...he already lost on the issues and only has smear left.

Back to the topic at hand.

The infomercial was thoughtfully and carefully done. Nothing negative only the message of "hope" and how he plans to carry it out without raising taxes.

It truly would win over any truly undecided voter who doesn't care to do a whole lot of research on their own, which I hate to say it, is a lot of Americans. I see future elections having more infomercials because of this!

It started off slow and ended poorly (the live speech) but it got better and was very good near the end, when Obama was talking about health care and his mother having to battle insurance companies instead of her illness. Biden and all the other endorsements were very good too. The music was a little much, and made it seem a lot cornier than I think it should have been. I didn't get too much from the family profiles except for that poor lady who has to take a million pills. I understand the family profile thing, it plays on the same thing Joe the Plumber does; helping folks identify with the campaign. And it helps to give little breaks so it doesn't seem wall-to-wall Obama. Overall I liked it but didn't love it. It won't hurt Obama, and might help him a tiny bit actually.

I wonder if the media is going to investigate those 4 families like they did with "Joe the Plumber". I mean it is their sworn duty to vet everyone, right?

Did they go ask John McCain a question, while lying about the premise?

I am tired of hearing about "Joe" not even named joe, not a licensed plumber yet so he can't buy the business, a business that doesn't make 250k a year, that himself makes 40k a year, that would actually get a tax cut and it would be easier for him to buy the business if he so chose under an Obama administration, the plumber.
