If it's haunted, I'd expect it to be scary.

Why are people scared of ghosts anyway? What have ghosts ever done to people? Most importantly, when you have a major paranormal infestation, who you gonna call?

In fact, IMHO the existence of ghosts would be positive, since it would be proof of life after death.

Ghosts existing would be absolutely horrible, as everything we know about physics/the world would be terribly terribly wrong.

I guess this is a question for the religion section anyway. Wouldn't it just be proof that there is an afterlife?

Love it. Never knew what TAPS stood for until now.

But I would say the only reason I love it is because most of the guys are skeptics first. They always try to prove it's NOT a ghost before saying "Holy crap, it might be a ghost." Well, except for that one Irish guy. He always thinks it's a ghost first.

It would be proof that there is something after death that can't be explained. It's what made me change from being an atheist.

Really? When someone asks why you're religious, your answer is "ghosts"?

^many paranormal researchers who do believe in ghosts, don't agree his statement either.

Residual haunting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

some eve theorize the so-called intelligent haunts to be the result of some sort of partial fold in the fabric of time.

No one has ever asked me why I'm religious. But if you are truly interested: How I came to believe in “God”

Yeah, I'm not sure ghosts and God are really on the same wavelength.

You guys seem to know more about ghosts than I do. Has there ever been a case where a ghost has hurt a person, outside of movies and campfire stories?

Of course a ghost would be proof of some sort of life after death. I'd like to go on existing in some sort of active fashion after I die, and if ghosts were real, I would consider that good news. But, everyone keeps on insisting that ghosts are scary, and I've never understood it.

There are somewhat common cases of ppl being scratched, and on one episode of Ghost Hunters, I remember, one of the cameramen got pushed over, I don't think he was actually physically hurt though. Generally it is rare, but not completely unheard of.
