Either way, she energizes the conservatives by talking about the values they care about. Not as good as Reagan did. But she at least would talk about the things we cared about. Dont' get me wrong, Palin was the wrong pick right now. But at least she spoke about the issues I cared about and didn't constantly rag on America and the people that are successful. That is just my opinion.

| She doesn't have the intellectual depth to talk about issues conservatives care about, but she can read a script like any other news caster.. she has plenty of practice. People who were excited by her candidacy are what's wrong with America, IMO. | ||||

Nah, I think she's a good conservative that was rushed into the spotlight. In a few years she may be just fine.

A gaffe isn't a lack of knowledge, it's a gaffe. And the wheelchair one, he didn't even know the guy was paralyzed, so give me and everyone else with an IQ above room temperature a break. Palin's idiocy is a much bigger problem than saying the wrong thing, it's about a lack of knowledge. And those who were excited about her candidacy are what's wrong with the Republican party, and this country. The idea that intelligence doesn't matter as long as you have your "heart" in the right place. It does. She's stupid and unqualified in every meaningful way.

| Wolf on CNN, asked her if during/after the campaign, at the governors meeting...anytime...she has some new ideas that would appeal to the american people...she gave some ramble that didn't resemble...anything and then he re-asked, and she had to go "nope!" Ronald Reagan was no genius, but he was always thinking, always had ideas She has no ideas, she simply leeches onto what other people tell her, her only indepedence is her temper tantrums because she wants to be the queen of america | ||||

| But a few weeks ago, as I recall, we were hearing how not having new ideas, not knowing about all the facts and details, not knowing how to use a computer, etc., all wouldn't matter and didn't disqualify someone from the job of being the president, since they could just depend entirely on their aides to tell them what to do all the time... | ||||

Biden's an idiot anyway. He keeps saying stupid things and can't stop. He's been doing it before he was the VP. Again, I think she'll be great later. Just not today.

But let me ask you, how did the people of America like Reagan? And how did they like Clinton? They loved them both even though they both dropped the ball when it comes to terrorism. Funny hodw that works out huh?

I believe Palin will be able to do that once she gets a little more time. But if you want to think she's a hayseed idiot go right ahead. I thought Clinton was the biggest moron in the world...for getting caught!

| From what I've heard recently, on this board, in fact, the fall of Communism was more a credit to Charlie Wilson, D-TX, than to Reagan. But I don't really know all the details about it. I think there was a movie about him recently... | ||||

| Truman, Ike and...by luck...JFK...were the ones who made Communism failure inevitable, if it wasn't from the start...by the time Nixon left office there was no chance the Soviet Union could last another 50+ years | ||||
