| I think it depends on how the case was reported back in Alaska. What he was originally charged with and what he was convicted were two different things. And there will be an appeal, in which many mainstream people think he will win. I for one, would be glad to see him go, but in a fair trial and that didn't happen. | ||||

| He'll be kicked out of the Senate for sure. Then Palin will appoint a temporary replacement until a special election, right? | ||||

| What are you smoking? He was convicted. He has appeals ahead of him just like any other felon who's been found guilty, but he's still been convicted by a jury. | ||||

| Harry Reid says no but other democrats think he can stay: it wouldn't suprise me if he does through out the appeal. He is probably going to win on appeal anyways | ||||

| Can the Senate "kick out" a rep? I think they can, or maybe that's the House? Do the states have the opportunity to determine the process for filling a vacant seat? Any polisci majors here to help us lazy posters? | ||||

| They said they were going to kick him out. Which they should, but the rumor is if that happens then Sarah Palin is going to run for the Senate job, which would be smart on her part.

| I think he only got re-elected because alaskan's don't want the seat going democrat...actually I think thats obvious...had the reps had time to put someone else in his place who was reasonably prepped they would have just voted for the new R I'm sure. My guess is he'll get booted, Palin appoints the next senator then they have an election in 2010. | ||||
