He was aware of the first e-mail and passed it up where it was ended at the discretion of the parents. I see nothing wrong with that since the first e-mail was just creepy and not sexual explicit. Trying to hang Hastert on the first e-mail doesn't hold any water ...

Also, there's no evidence of falsifying emails by "The Democrats", by which I'm going to assume you mean some large scale effort by the party.

| Here is Drudge on the sex scandal: http://movies.crooksandliars.com/drudge-yo-beasts.mp3 Apparently, the 16 year olds were "egging him on" and they are the real criminals here There is somewhat of a reason for him to be doing this, not just because he is morally bankrupt, its because his homosexuality is the worst kept DC secret and naturally is involved with 18 year guys who are much younger than him so this hits a little too close to home for him...so I'm not gonna call him a total douchebag on this | ||||

| Well, I'm pretty sure it wasn't republicans or their supporters that made them. Like I said before, it's not above Democrats (not necessarily party officials) to forge things. They did it with the 60 Minute documents to make Bush look bad. | ||||

But speculation and conjecture are not good points for a discussion, they are what throw a thread offtrack Maybe Republicans did make them to confuse the issue and bring in people like you to say "hey, well he may of quit over this, but maybe it was fake!"

There were different punctuations and whatnot, but the exact same words. I don't see anyone refuting the words.

| Wouldn't that be the Republicans? I mean, running the country and all. I seem to remember them being in the majority and pretty much controlling every decision that's been made. | ||||

| I don't think these posts are reference to a "coverup." It's in reference to possible exaggerations and lies by the Democrats. I don't see what they are covering up. Perhaps you're seeing something I'm not. By possibly forging an e-mail doesn't mean they're covering anything up. It means they could possibly be making this more serious than it is. Personally I don't believe that is true, but it's open for interpretation at this point and there really shouldn't be any ifs ands or buts with this. The guy resigned and admitted himself into rehab. Why are we finding different versions of the same e-mails? | ||||
